Sun Belt Conference coaches have picked Arkansas State to finish 6th overall in the Sun Belt West in the annual preseason coaches poll that was released Monday.
The Red Wolves are picked to finish behind Troy, South Alabama, Louisiana, Southern Miss, and Texas State. ULM is the lone team picked to finish behind the Red Wolves.
In the East the coaches picked James Madison to win the division followed by Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Marshall, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, and Old Dominion.

The 2023 season will kick off with Sun Belt Football Media Days on Tuesday, July 25, and Wednesday, July 26. The West Division head coaches and student-athletes will appear on Tuesday, with the East Division to follow on Wednesday.
The entire event will be broadcast on ESPN+, with a morning session from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon CT and an afternoon session from 1:30 to 4 p.m. CT each day.
