Arkansas State put up 335 yards of offense and 42 points in the first half to dominate Louisiana-Monroe 51-10 Saturday night at Centennial Bank Stadium. The 42 points scored in the first half were the most points A-State has scored against an FBS opponent since the Red Wolves joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2001.

The win propels the Red Wolves to 3-4 on the season, and 3-0 in Sun Belt Conference play.

“I thought it was our most complete game we have played this year,” said A-State head coach Blake Anderson. “We made plays in all three phases. Special teams were no big issue that we are concerned about. We actually got the return game going and flipped the field. Defensively we created turnovers and were stubborn against the run. Really until we started making substitutions and had some mechanical problems with guys that don’t play a lot of snaps, and then offensively until we started making substitutions, we were really solid.”
