A-State women fall at Little Rock

Arkansas State women's basketball team faced offensive challenges and lost to Little Rock with a score of 59-49 at the Jack Stephens Center.

Kyanna Morgan was the standout player for Arkansas State, scoring 18 points and grabbing seven rebounds. The team struggled with shooting, hitting only 31.5 percent from the floor and 21.2 percent from three-point range.

Arkansas State initially took a 6-5 lead but fell behind by the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, they faced a scoring drought and went into halftime trailing 37-25.

After halftime, Little Rock extended their lead to 18 points.

Although Arkansas State managed to close the gap slightly in the fourth quarter, outscoring Little Rock 12-8, they ultimately lost by 10 points.
