Arkansas State will attempt to bounce back after a loss to Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday following a controversial ruling made during a review of a Red Wolf touchdown as time expired. The Red Wolves will travel to take on Texas State this coming Saturday.

Arkansas State is once again bowl eligible, and will play for a share of the Sun Belt Conference title on Saturday.

Head coach Blake Anderson gave his final thoughts on the loss to Lafayette and more on Monday.

“It was what I expected. It has become a really good and competitive rivalry game between the two of us,” said Anderson. “I expected 60 minutes of all-out war, and that is what it was. It came down to the last two seconds of the game and could have gone either way. I would have loved to have seen that review go our way and us find a way to squeak by a close one, but it didn’t. It went Lafayette’s way. We out-gained them in every area, we played defense really well, but at the end of the day they made the plays they needed to win. They kept us out of the end zone and limited us to only 19 points when the yardage and stats showed we should have scored quite a bit more, so you have to give them credit.”
