Arkansas State head football coach Blake Anderson spoke about the mishaps his team had in a 45-17 loss to Appalachian State last Thursday, and he was blunt about areas the team is lacking in.

Anderson noted the Red Wolves have some injuries they are dealing with, but also said his team doesn’t match up well in the trenches against teams like Appalachian State and others.

“We are obviously missing some pieces and we’ve got a couple of guys that are banged up playing, but we still have to play much, much better,” said Anderson. “It’s mentality. Can you affect it in the short term in a huge way? That’s hard to do.”
