A-State flavor expected at Shootout 7-on-7
The 10th annual Shootout of the South 7-on-7 will take place this weekend at the Mighty Blue Bird Complex off Highway 10 West at 6800 Pinnacle Valley Road. The event will begin Friday at 11 a.m. with pool play expected to end at 5:50 p.m.
Play will continue Saturday at 10 a.m. as the tournament brackets begin, and will continue until the champion is crowned later in the afternoon.

Admission for the event is $3 per person, with ages five and under admitted for free.
Arkansas State will have several recruiting targets on hand for the event to include Fayetteville three-star defensive back Dre Greenlaw, who has already committed to the Red Wolves.
Other Class of 2015 athletes reporting interest from Arkansas State who will be on hand include Fayetteville linebacker Ian Jackson, Mayflower running back Justin Bailey, Pulaski Academy wide receiver Will Hastings, and Desoto Central, Ms. linebacker Cortez Sisco.
Class of 2016 athletes reporting interest include Little Rock Catholic quarterback Andre Sale and Pulaski Academy linebacker Chris Redmon.
