With rumors running rampant in regards to the head coach opening at the University of Arkansas, many have already put Gus Malzahn's name in the list of candidates for the job.

KAIT Channel 8 sports director Chris Hudgison spoke with Coach Malzahn and asked about the situation.

"I've got my hands full dealing with the day to day things here and been totally consumed with what we're doing here." said Malzahn. "I'm the head coach of the Arkansas State Red Wolves."

According to Hudgison, Malzahn was later asked if he had been contacted by the University of Arkansas.

"No, I'm the head coach here," said Malzahn. "I'm not worried about anything else, and I'm committed to being here."
